Manor Fields Development | 2022–2023

Between 2022 and 2023, we took on our largest property project to date with the development of two individually designed homes in the Yorkshire village of Breighton.
With a combined development value of approximately £1.8 million, Manor Fields represented a significant step forward in both scale and complexity compared to our previous projects. While our earlier developments had provided valuable experience, this project introduced a new level of responsibility, coordination and decision-making.
From the early planning stages through to completion, we remained closely involved in the day-to-day progress of the development. Working alongside trades and contractors, we helped coordinate site activities, manage deliveries, oversee quality, and ensure the project continued moving forward. As with any development, there were challenges to overcome along the way, requiring careful planning, problem-solving and adaptability.
One of the most rewarding aspects of the project was seeing the homes gradually take shape. What began as a construction site slowly transformed into two high-quality family homes, with every stage bringing the vision closer to reality. From foundations and structural works through to the finishing touches, each milestone was a reminder of how much work goes into delivering a successful development.
Like many of our projects, this wasn’t undertaken in isolation. Throughout the development we continued to balance work commitments, family life and raising our daughter, Wynter. Much of our time outside of work was spent on-site, coordinating activities, making decisions and ensuring the project maintained momentum.
The experience reinforced the importance of organisation, communication and attention to detail. Managing a development of this scale required the coordination of multiple trades, suppliers and contractors, all working towards the same goal while maintaining quality and programme deadlines.
Looking back, Manor Fields remains a project we are incredibly proud of. Not only because of the homes that were created, but because of the journey involved in bringing them to life. Seeing both properties completed and successfully sold made the challenges, long days and countless decisions worthwhile.
