Delphi – Bungalow Renovation

Our Property Journey Started in 2015

Our first property project wasn’t glamorous.

It was a bungalow that needed significant work, with windows that didn’t open, a pink and black bathroom where a wrench was needed to operate the bath tap, and even locks fitted to the outside of some bedroom doors.

While many people may have overlooked it, we could see the potential.

Over the next three years, we dedicated countless evenings and weekends to transforming the property. Much of the work was completed ourselves, learning new skills along the way, including tiling, kitchen fitting, decorating and general renovation work.

One of the most significant changes was converting the garage into a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining area and snug. This completely transformed the layout of the home and created a much more practical and modern living space.

Like any renovation project, there were challenges, unexpected obstacles and plenty of hard work. However, the experience taught us invaluable lessons about property renovation, project management and the value that can be created through thoughtful improvements.

Looking back, that first bungalow remains a project we are incredibly proud of. It showed us what can be achieved with vision, determination and a willingness to get stuck in.
